Walking the Path to Change

Meet Shanta Terry
President | Case Manager | Outreach Director
Take A Walk In My Shoes Too Foundation
Shanta Terry is the President and Founder of the Take A Walk In My Shoes Too Foundation, where she leads with compassion, dedication, and a lifelong commitment to empowering individuals and strengthening communities. With an educational background in Human Services and more than 20 years of experience in case management, Shanta has devoted her career to helping families, children, and veterans achieve a better quality of life.
Her passion for service was sparked after traveling to Africa, where she witnessed firsthand the resilience and needs of underserved communities. That experience inspired her to create meaningful change wherever possible-offering life strategies, resources, and genuine sport to those facing everyday challenges. Over the years, she has collaborated with organizations such as transitional veteran agencies, such as Janie's Hands, Warrior Helping Warriors, and Catholic Charities, to extend her reach and impact.
Shanta has led numerous community initiatives, including a three-year Financial Mentorship program, five consecutive years of the Annual Thanksgiving Feast serving more than 100 community members and veterans, "Christmas with Santa - Safety and Sacks," a yearly Random Acts of Kindness project, and a Rental Assistance Program for families in crisis. Each effort reflects her belief that even small acts of support can open the door to long-term stability and hope.
Warm, approachable, and deeply committed to service, Shanta continues to inspire others through her leadership. At the Take A Walk In My Shoes Too Foundation, she works every day to build a stronger society - one empowered family at a time.
